What is Spot Light?

A class supporting playwrights wanting to write an existing idea or delve deeper into an existing script.

In Spotlight, you will build on the work you did in Ghost light, turning the creative work into a structured play.

You will deepen your understanding of your own voice, be held accountable, understand resistance, commune with other writers, and deepen your play.  You’ll come in with anything from a strong idea to a full draft.  We’ll talk about skills that relate directly to what you're working on, read one another’s work aloud each week, and give feedback. A supportive and productive space for playwrights of different levels. The class will culminate in the option to hear your work read by actors (via Zoom).
You’ll finish with new work on your play and clear next steps.

Classes are small and you will receive individual written notes each week.
